Cloud security
Secure cloud applications, identities and workloads
Xcitium’s cloud security scope brings together ASPM testing, CSPM configuration controls, CNAPP, CWPP, KIEM and cloud-native network detection and response. The practical challenge is to assess application code, cloud settings, Kubernetes permissions and workload protection in one risk context.

Connect code, cloud and workloads
CNAPP brings applications, virtual machines and Kubernetes clusters into a shared cloud security model. ASPM, CSPM, CWPP, KIEM and cloud-native network detection and response extend that scope; modules and integrations depend on the architecture.
ASPM: application and IaC testing
ASPM reviews source code and open-source dependencies, exercises attack scenarios against a running application, and scans Terraform and Dockerfile infrastructure as code. SCA, SAST, DAST and IaC findings are prioritized using factors such as runtime exposure and exploitability.
CSPM: configuration and drift
Agentless scans continuously assess cloud configurations and track changes. CSPM provides a compliance roadmap for CIS, HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2 and ISO 27001, drift alerts, dashboards and one-click remediation.
Protect workloads with CNAPP and CWPP
CNAPP combines vulnerability management, compliance monitoring and threat detection for cloud applications. CWPP applies network segmentation and automatic Zero Trust policies, with policy generation and enforcement across multi-cloud, multi-cluster environments.
KIEM: Kubernetes identities and entitlements
KIEM scans Kubernetes identity configurations without agents and maps relationships among accounts, identities and resources. Queries for over-privileged principals and service accounts without workloads address an identity and entitlement need; this is distinct from broader Kubernetes posture checks such as KSPM.
Cloud-native network detection and response
Cloud-native Network Detection and Response extends security coverage from virtual machines through Kubernetes. For a technical evaluation, choose one repository, workload or cluster; inspect an application finding, configuration drift and a permission relationship, with an owner and remediation approval. Confirm supported telemetry and response workflows.

Questions and answers
Which stages does ASPM cover?
ASPM reviews source code and open-source dependencies, tests attack scenarios against running applications, and scans Terraform and Dockerfile infrastructure as code.
Are KIEM and KSPM the same capability?
No. KIEM addresses Kubernetes identity and entitlement configuration, while KSPM focuses on cluster security posture. Compare their scope and integrations in a technical evaluation.
