Key takeaway

Frost & Sullivan awarded Xcitium its 2022 Global Competitive Strategy Leadership recognition for its endpoint-security strategy, ZeroDwell technology and SaaS EDR/MDR offer.

Frost & Sullivan’s 2022 Competitive Strategy Leadership Award

In its December 14, 2022 announcement, Frost & Sullivan said it had given Xcitium its 2022 Competitive Strategy Leadership Award following an analysis of the global endpoint security industry. The award recognized the company’s business approach and focus on protecting organizations from cyberattacks. Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices awards recognize leadership, technology innovation, customer service and product strategy in regional and global markets.

Real-time containment of unknown files

Xcitium presented ZeroDwell Containment as using kernel-level API virtualization to isolate unknown files while they are analyzed, restricting access to critical system resources. Frost & Sullivan Security Industry Principal Sarah Pavlak highlighted that users could continue using the unknown file or application while critical resources remained protected.

SaaS delivery and resource constraints

Pavlak described Xcitium’s SaaS offer as an affordable way to extend security-team capacity and address resource gaps. Its EDR and MDR services were positioned to reduce alert fatigue and configuration complexity, particularly for mid-market security leaders.

Award selection criteria

Frost & Sullivan presents the award for strategies that use competitive intelligence to strengthen market position, brand standing and customer satisfaction. Its selection process combines interviews, analysis and extensive secondary research; Xcitium’s recognition came through that industry comparison.
