Server modules connected through a shared technology network

Key takeaway

AVANT planned to bring Xcitium MDR/XDR and Managed SOC to its Trusted Advisor channel alongside customers’ existing security tools.

Bringing Xcitium to AVANT Trusted Advisors

Xcitium and technology-solutions distributor AVANT announced a partnership on May 1, 2023. AVANT planned to offer its Trusted Advisor network Xcitium MDR/XDR and Managed SOC solutions led by ZeroDwell Containment. The arrangement connected Xcitium to AVANT’s advisor network and broadened AVANT’s cybersecurity offering.

Working with existing security tools

The announcement said ZeroDwell had been tested with products from nine leading providers, including CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Sophos and Microsoft Defender. That compatibility was intended to give AVANT resellers room for add-on sales and future expansion in existing accounts; Managed SOC and MDR/XDR were also part of the offer.

Partner perspectives and enablement

Michael Costantino, Xcitium VP of Strategic Partnerships for North America, highlighted AVANT’s education, engineering and partner-enablement work and its Trusted Advisor network. Shane McNamara, AVANT EVP of Engineering and Operations, said cybersecurity expansion remained a priority and that Xcitium gave advisors more choice for differing customer needs.

AVANT services and channel strategy

AVANT’s PATHFINDER platform supports technology decision-making, alongside sales engineers, live and on-demand training, client-ready research, and pricing and order support. The partnership added Xcitium MDR/XDR and Managed SOC to those channel resources. Costantino described the deal as a step toward Xcitium’s stated goal of becoming fully channel-focused by the end of 2023.
