Key takeaway
The March 29, 2022 agreement let Plexus offer Xcitium endpoint protection alongside its server, data-management and network-security portfolio in Sri Lanka and South Asia.
Plexus channel in Sri Lanka and South Asia
On March 29, 2022, Xcitium Security Solutions announced a partnership with Sri Lanka-based value-added distributor Plexus. Plexus would offer Xcitium across Sri Lanka and other South Asian markets, adding cybersecurity to its portfolio of enterprise server solutions, data management, IT services, backup power, networking and network security.
AEP and containment technology
Xcitium Advanced Endpoint Protection assessed unknown files and code in an isolated container, restricting access to endpoint resources. The company presented this as a Zero Trust approach to preventing damage from ransomware and other malware. Plexus customers could add endpoint security and cyber-advisory capabilities to their server and network infrastructure.
Leaders on regional expansion
Ezra Correa, Xcitium VP of International Business Development, said Plexus’s established distributor role would open access to customers in Sri Lanka and nearby countries. Plexus Director Damitha Haegoda said the partnership would let the company offer customers a broader IT-security portfolio for South Asia.
Plexus Inspire and partner experience
Plexus said it was founded in 2017 and served customers through a distribution network across Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Singapore. Xcitium expanded its security portfolio. Xcitium was scheduled to present that week at Plexus Inspire 2022, Plexus’s annual channel partner event.
