Key takeaway
The TD SYNNEX partnership added Xcitium ZeroDwell Containment and endpoint threat protection to a North American distributor and reseller channel.
ZeroDwell through TD SYNNEX
On February 28, 2023, Xcitium announced a partnership with TD SYNNEX, a global IT distributor and solutions aggregator. The agreement was intended to bring ZeroDwell Containment and the broader threat-protection portfolio to TD SYNNEX customers and resellers in North America. TD SYNNEX reported more than 150,000 customers worldwide.
Kernel-level API Virtualization
Xcitium described the technology as using Kernel-level API Virtualization to isolate unknown objects immediately and assess their behavior before they reach real assets. The company cited more than 450,000 unknown threats and files emerging daily and said containment could reduce dwell time while giving security professionals time to understand them.
Adding the offer to the customer portfolio
Scott Young, TD SYNNEX SVP of Product Management, said adding Xcitium would broaden the distributor’s portfolio and help customers achieve business outcomes with technology. TD SYNNEX described a network of more than 150,000 customers in over 100 countries and 1,500-plus vendors across cloud, cybersecurity, analytics, IoT and everything-as-a-service categories.
The containment proposition for resellers
Michael Costantino, Xcitium VP of Strategic Alliances for North America, said the market had become accustomed to detecting a breach and then remediating damage, which takes time and money. He said isolating unknown threats before entry gives resellers a way to offer customers preventive endpoint protection.
