Key takeaway
A unified view of profiles, devices and licenses helps administrators edit configurations, monitor utilization and adjust license overages.
Profile and billing update
Xcitium said its new billing-management system took effect on April 1, 2024. It was intended to make charges clearer and more flexible by letting customers select the licenses and features they use. The interface connects profiles, assigned devices, license utilization and overuse information.
Profiles View: licenses and devices
Profiles View under Assets > Configuration adds Profile and Associated Devices columns; in the Classic UI, the view is under Endpoint Manager. Profile shows which licenses and features the configuration uses, while Associated Devices shows the number of devices using it. Selecting that count opens the device list for the profile.
Editing profiles by licensed sections
The new profile editor starts with the features included in a license. In the Sections tab, the left side lists licenses or feature groups and the right side lists configurable sections. An administrator selects the license group, chooses the sections needed for that profile and saves. The system then flags sections that still need configuration with warning text and an exclamation icon.
Device View and combined profiles
A new Profile column in the device list shows the license name consumed by each device—the combined result of its assigned profiles. A device using both Device and Client Security licenses, for example, may display RMM and XCS labels. This helps administrators identify the entitlements and features applied to an endpoint.
License usage and overage
In the 2024 guide, License Management showed utilization and an OVERUSE column. Under the rules Xcitium described at the time, overuse was billed after consumption through an additional month-end invoice while service continued. To adjust the Enrolled Endpoint Count, an administrator selected the endpoint count in the overused product category, reviewed active licenses and adjusted the count.
