Key takeaway
The ZeroDwell launch extended the option to add unknown-code containment to existing EDR environments.
Adding containment to the existing security stack
ZeroDwell Containment runs unknown and suspicious code in an isolated environment while its trust status is determined. Xcitium made the approach available with its endpoint suite and alongside existing security tools, giving organizations an additional layer that restricts unknown code’s access to system resources.
Positivo Tecnologia: from testing to a multiyear agreement
The announcement also described a multiyear agreement with Positivo Tecnologia. CIO Julio Guapo reported that the security team repeatedly tested ZeroDwell during the proof of concept and that the attacker’s execution path was isolated in every test. CISO Nandor Feher described it as an important layer in the company’s Zero Trust architecture and highlighted simpler security operations.
Recognition for 2022
Xcitium also highlighted Frost & Sullivan’s 2022 Competitive Strategy Leader recognition for endpoint security and the AVLab Product of the Year 2022 award. These recognitions formed part of the contemporary response to its containment approach.
