CRN Channel Chief recognition
On February 8, 2023, Xcitium announced that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, had named its VP of Strategic Partnerships Michael Costantino a 2023 Channel Chief for Cyber Security. The list recognizes executives advancing the IT channel and partner programs. Costantino led Xcitium’s North American channel strategy.
Costantino’s channel responsibilities
His remit covered recruiting, onboarding and enabling strategic partners, managed service providers, national resellers and technology brokers. Before joining Xcitium, Costantino spent five years in channel leadership roles at Vonage and Prodoscore. CRN’s selection recognized his work building that partner ecosystem.
Xcitium’s channel goal and ZeroDwell
Xcitium CEO Ken Levine said Costantino’s relationship-building supported the company’s goal of moving entirely to partner-led sales by the end of 2023. In the same announcement, Xcitium cited more than 450,000 unknown threats and files emerging daily. The company described ZeroDwell containment as giving specialists time to assess risk and partners a way to offer ransomware protection to SMBs.
How CRN selected the honorees
CRN’s editorial staff selected the 2023 Channel Chiefs based on business innovation and dedication to the partner community. The Channel Company CEO Blaine Raddon described the list as recognition for leaders advancing the channel and developing strong partnerships; it was slated for CRN’s February 2023 issue.
