Key takeaway
In 2023, Xcitium expanded its distributor network across EMEA, APAC and Latin America, bringing ZeroDwell and managed security services to new regional partners.
Expanding the international distributor network
On February 21, 2023, Xcitium announced new agreements with value-added distributors across EMEA, APAC-J and LATAM-C. The company presented the signings as international channel expansion, emphasizing the role of VADs in regions where it already had many customers and partners outside the United States.
New partners and their markets
The announcement named Westcoast Cloud (UK), Syscom, EMT, Distilogix (Middle East), TD SYNNEX (Brazil and Mexico), Edge UOL (Brazil), TowersIT (Spain), AquaOrange (Thailand and Pakistan), Indo Cybersecurity (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar), Plexus (Sri Lanka), and Microdium Asia (Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines). The partner network was expanding across several regions at once.
Xcitium technology and the VAD model
Xcitium said it offered EDR, MDR and XDR backed by ZeroDwell Containment, which the company said isolates the 1–5% of new or unknown malware other systems miss. It also made ZeroDwell available with third-party security platforms to create add-on opportunities for VADs.
Correa and distributor perspectives
Ezra Correa, Xcitium VP of Global Markets, stressed international ecosystem cooperation amid cyberthreats and budget pressure. Ben Vadgama, Westcoast Head of Cyber Business, said ZeroDwell could add protection regardless of customers’ existing EDR or MDR. Mohd Elayyan, Distilogix CEO and Chief Security Officer, said the partnership addressed both the direct cost of attacks and ongoing operational costs.
Growth context
The announcement cited Gartner’s forecast that the global cybersecurity market would grow 11.3% to more than US$188 billion in 2023. Xcitium also reported having more than 5,000 active customers and partners at the time.
